Booking Privacy Notice
Version 2026-09-23. This supplements our website privacy notice for Awae's test flight and accommodation checkout. Use fictional traveller details when testing.
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Who to contact
Awae operates the test checkout. Contact hello@awae.ai about your information or use Awae support. The selling entity and full controller details must be confirmed and published before live booking opens.
Our website privacy notice separately covers website accounts, support and early access. This notice explains the additional booking data flow.
Information processed
The checkout handles your account identifier, traveller names, titles, dates of birth, the airline-required gender field, email addresses, telephone numbers, itinerary, room selections, optional extras and any special requests you submit. We also record booking references, prices, status, changes and cancellation activity.
Acceptance records include the terms version, confirmations, server timestamp, reviewed price, reference and a cryptographic digest tied to the authenticated account and submitted booking. Device information, including IP address and browser or app information, may accompany booking requests for security and supplier processing.
The test checkout does not collect card details. Do not enter sensitive medical information, passport numbers, passwords or card details into chat or special requests. Ask support about an appropriate channel for accessibility assistance.
Why information is used
We use booking information to provide the requested test booking service, show the itinerary and booking record, process supported management requests and respond to support enquiries. Where you are the customer, necessary processing may be based on performing our agreement with you or taking steps at your request.
Information about other travellers and security, fraud-prevention and acceptance records may be processed for legitimate interests in providing and protecting the service, subject to those people's rights. Applicable legal duties can also require records to be retained. Optional marketing requires its own appropriate permission and is not authorised by accepting booking terms.
Who receives it
Booking requests are sent to Duffel, our booking technology provider, and information needed to fulfil a request may be shared with relevant airlines, accommodation suppliers and their reservation systems. Test requests use Duffel's sandbox, not a real travel reservation. Duffel explains its processing in its privacy policy; travel suppliers may also act as independent controllers under their own notices.
Awae's application hosting, account, database and support providers process information needed to run the service. Authorised staff may access records to investigate problems and assist you. We do not make traveller details public through a booking.
Providers may process information outside your country. Before live launch, Awae must verify the actual recipient locations, controller and processor roles, and applicable transfer safeguards. Contact us for information about the test service's providers and transfers before submitting personal data.
Retention and your choices
We retain information only for the service, support, security, dispute and legal purposes that justify keeping it. Different records may need different periods. Ask us to delete test information you no longer need; limited records may need to remain where a lawful reason applies. Supplier-held records are also subject to the supplier's retention arrangements.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability and object to certain processing. These rights can have legal exceptions. Contact hello@awae.ai; we may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data-protection authority.
Share this notice with other travellers before providing their information. A checkbox does not waive their rights or provide consent to unrelated uses of their data.
